A Journey into Newness

We have been spending time farewelling familiar and favourite places and friends in between sorting out our house for our impending move to Canberra.

These cygnets were swimming with their mother in the deep waters surrounding the Goolwa Barrage near the end of the Murray River.

I hope I can be as graceful as this lovely swan appears with my three sweet 'cygnets' as we move to new surroundings and search for new friends and favourite places.

Wishing you a Happy New Year, not knowing when I'll be back here.

But of one thing I am very glad, you my dear friends, will remain a part of my life in the same way no matter where I journey.

Hi Cee,

Well I don't know how I missed the last couple of posts, but I did. I love the dough ornaments. I might try that with my nieces next year. Their "cookies" that we decorated were too hard to eat the next day!

I hope you enjoy your move and please stay in touch and continue blogging.

A new baby, and a move to a new house! You ARE going to be very busy, and we'll miss you, but we'll be waiting when you have time to post again!
Happy New Year, Cee!

Just checking in to make sure all that flooding hasn't affected you! Hopefully your move didn't take you into the Toowoomba - Brisbane area!
Three of my favorite blogs are authored in Australia. I've heard from two of them and they are safe. I just want to be sure you are, too!

Hey Cee,

Just wondering how you are doing and how the move is coming along. So many people have been hit by the flooding and the cyclone. I hope you and your lovely family are safe.

We are still on the move Cindy. Thanks for your kind thoughts and concerns. Our internet access is very poor and intermittent so I am rarely on blogs these days. They are very picture heavy and eat into our mobile quota. We are doing well though, not caught in any floods or fires or cyclones either. We are very lucky. We are just stuck in accommodation waiting for our house to settle. Probably another month here (sigh)

Hi Cee,

Thinking about you again! I know you are busy and hopefully getting a place to live soon. Just glad you are ok, hopefully still ok, and doing well.

I lived in Canberra for 6 years, despite its reputation, it's a lovely lovely place.

There's been a turn of events for our house. The contract has not been completed and a small fence on site is unapproved. We need that fence and more! We are in the process of having the contract rescinded. It is very stressful and disappointing. So we are actually in a time of great need for accommodation and clothing as it gets cooler and our possessions remain in storage.

All prayers welcome.
Thanks for your loving thoughts friends.

Oh Cee I just now saw this. What is going on? I'm so sorry things are not working out for you and your family. I'll say a prayer for you. Keep in touch letting us know how things are going. I pray that your move will start going in a positive direction NOW and you can get your clothes and stuff out of storage and get back to living your life.
