The Snowballs

The aging process has you firmly in its grasp if you never get the urge to throw a snowball.  ~Doug Larson

We have had some wild weather here the last couple of days but no storm has left any snowballs for us to throw :(.  Only rain and branches, sticks and twigs falling from above, gathering on our paths making our ride and stroll to school quite bumpy.

My soft snowballs are now fully entwined and I am left with a snowy blanket with no home...yet!  I just don't think I could have snowballs decorating my home - although someone else could possibly use them in their interior design quite beautifully.  Equally I just don't think I could wear these.

So what I am to do with my snowballs??  The girls love them.  When I knit they come and rest their head on my soft, snowball-filled dreamy lap and ask, "What's it going to be Mummy?"

I have decided now.  It won't be long until it is completed...I hope.

It will be something they can use.  I have no doubt they will continue to enjoy this unusual soft texture for a long time yet.  (When will the internet be all touchy feely so you can understand, dear reader!)

Watch this space.

Is it my computer or is something wrong with blogger? I can't see the picture nor will the "soft showballs" link take me anywhere! :-(

Thanks for letting me know Homestay Mama. Haste has not been my friendly companion it would seem :) The link is now fixed and works I believe. I am not sure why you can't see the pic however as it is visible in my view. I hope it is clear for everyone else. Let me know if it is not.

Cheers Cee

Everything is working today, and I can see the picture. Must have been a blogger issue yesterday!

So what are you making with your snowballs? I'm sure it will be cute and creative whatever it is! :-)

Dear Cee,
I have so much to catch up on! I always read your blog in google reader and look so forward to your posts, but this last few weeks I've had so little computer time that I've been getting really behind with everything. You've been so busy, it's always such a joy to come here and read what you and your family have been up too.
The finger puppets are SO beautiful, I just adore them. I'm still yet to make a set, but Bella and I hope to do that very soon together.
Thankyou so much for the blog award too - very lovely of you.
Now the snowballs, they intrigue me, I have never seen yarn like that and I actually think your snowy blanket is really gorgeous. I'm curious to know what size the blanket is?? If it's tiny it would make a sweet addition for a dollies pram in the winter months.
Is that a scarf you're busy knitting?! How gorgeous is the wool, such warm, rich colours.
Well, I had more to say, but I can't think what for now - oh yes, the birthday card - GORGEOUS Cee!! Such a clever idea for a wee one.

Hi Mel

It is lovely to here from you. I am so pleased you had a moment to pop in for some virtual coffee to share our crafting projects.

I am touched that you like the snowballs. You have given me a lovely idea. Perhaps I will need to buy some new wool for a pram blanket! However the little piece I have created is for a similar purpose. I just need some sunshiney days now to photograph it and blog about it.

See you again Mel

Greetings from over the sea.
Cee
